The charger has a maximum output of 12A, but is not a smart charger. You're not going to get a $20 12A 12-port smart charger, so you'll have to use common sense. 4 ports of 1.5A each, enough to charge any iPad, phone or Android phone if you don't need fast charging and already have 6 amps. The 2.5A connections are good for almost everything else. If you use all 4 1.5A ports you can use 2 of the 2.5A ports and now you are basically using the charger. Where such chargers shine in situations like mine. We have a lot of electronics in our house so I have 2 flashes, 1 micro USB and a combo cable on each power band of this unit.
