This is a solid table when built. It only takes a few steps and the finishing of all the parts is really good, especially the "damaged" wood countertop. The only issue with mine was that the hex key is quite small and slips out of the hex pieces quite easily causing the hex holes to lose their shape in a hurry. Also, the base turned out to be quite crooked, but luckily those adjustable feet worked just fine. Otherwise, it seems to sit pretty well on your average plush rug. I would also like to point out that the corners of the wooden top scratch a bit and I've scratched my hand a few times so far, so be careful around children or pets.
