Works very well. Best in Fans and Cooling

I first tried installing a heatsink on my new 1TB NVMe drive and the stress test results weren't very good. Then check the Dell service manual that says it and they recommend a thermal pad between the drive and the motherboard. The problem is they don't tell you how thick it should be. Used the end of a pair of calipers to take some measurements and concluded it should be either 4mm or 5mm. Tried 5mm first, bingo! The drive stays 15ยฐC cooler than with a heatsink on top. A 100x100 pack will hold five 2280 discs. I had to make six, so I ordered a second one.

Pros
  • Depending on the size of the gap between the heating element and the heatsink, you can choose the appropriate thickness of the thermal silica pad and the size of the self-tapping screws.
Cons
  • Available in black only.
