Not my favorite

Judging by the reviews I really want this glue to be liked, but not at all! In every project I use this with I have a problem. I connected 7 blocks of text to it and everything was fine until I put on the covers. I had blisters around my mule when gluing the endpapers. I had to tear up, restore and rebind all 7 books. They were family projects and just journals, so I gave up the mule the second time around, although it still didn't make me happy. I'm working on it now, using dark paper to cover it. I could see that it started to bubble after the initial smoothing, so I tried smoothing it out a bit with the bonefold, and of course that wasn't a good idea. Now I have strange marks and will have to restore the boards, but definitely I would have to do with the blistering. It's thick, which is fine since I always thin my paste a bit, so it's not really a problem. I don't care if it's dry, it doesn't seem like it would be very pliable if you did a rounded back, it's very dry, not rubbery at all. I had a neat separate binding, although it definitely shouldn't have been. It just came loose on the first scroll, so I won't be using it again for that. Looking at this line I can see they have a different glue (composition) for notepads, so maybe this particular glue just isn't for it. Lineco has another PH neutral glue from Books By Hand that I've never had a problem with, so I'll just go back to that. But for now I've been at it since winter and can't ship glue so I'll settle for warmer weather.

If you make collages, this is the best glue to use. Use with a brush and water.
