I wish they would work because Hakko tips are expensive and we have 4 soldering stations and change tips often. They do not hold heat and are not compatible with the FX-8801 iron with FX-888D base. We reset it by pressing two buttons at power up etc and still the same cold spike no matter how high we set it. Very frustrating. As soon as we put on a real Hakko T18-S7 attachment, everything worked. However, they seem to work better with older 907 irons with a 936 base and deserve another star rather than one.
