Good for the price but don't use high grit stones in spring clips.

I bought these to try and use with the sharpening system, the plastic mounting bars fit perfectly. It didn't work with any of the fine-grained rocks - the glue doesn't hold with so little grip. For this reason, I would recommend hand-using high-grit stones only. Also, three stones have been polished to a mirror finish. These are actually very pretty to look at, but prevent them from actually removing material as there are no gaps or points in the grain to cause abrasion. They work like a polishing steel but not as a high grit abrasive. I suppose if I bought a lapping stone and removed the shine they would work, but those thin strips of plastic based cutting material after the cheap disposable stones you replace when they're too worn out because you don't want to bother with lapping blocks or other complex maintenance.

Pros
  • MULTIFUNCTIONAL GRINDING STONE ATTACHMENT
Cons
  • Not bad but...
