I bought this for my bird and he seems to love it. My only problem is that the company has poor communication. I emailed them asking for the Kelvin rating and they finally replied "about 6000K". Okay, I know, I can see it because the light has a slight bluish cast to it. I need to know the EXACT Kelvins because birds shouldn't exceed 5700K. They didn't answer again. I am disappointed in their lack of communication and knowledge of the Kelvin ratings of the lamp as there is a note in the package stating that any questions should be emailed to them and the correct Kelvin range for both birds as well as for reptiles. All other reptile/bird lamps are in Kelvin. Unfortunately, this lamp is the only one I can find that is short enough (6 inches) to fit in a lamp. The lamp has arrived safely. Works as described and doesn't get too hot.
