I have been using Finis snorkels for many years and have been very happy with their durability and ease of use. This is the first one I have without a diaphragm. I did it unintentionally as I get insane with age but it turned out to be an accidental mistake. This works just as well as with aperture. I think, although I haven't tested my theory, it works best with a reduced swim time. But who knows. I only swim about a mile a day with swim lines attached to the side of my pool. For those who use them for training, the first type is best. I also like that Finis comes up with new colors.
