This blade was a real breakthrough for me in terms of fade free cutting. I was planning to get a fade trimmer but stumbled upon it. This saved me a lot of money. For the type of haircuts I do, I cut zero with an upward transition. I was surprised at how accurate this cut was, leaving little to no hair on the skin. Of course, you can't trim bald hair with any blade trimmer, you need a specific type of trimmer/electric shaver to remove the debris. The blade doesn't have an extra ceramic metal part on the side so you really get closer to the skin compared to the original blade that came with my andis. It is also very sharp, which means it does not cut the skin at the same time.
