This is the second lighted mirror I have bought. The first brand failed after about a year of use, so I bought this brand from Moita. It had more features than the first brand. I use it for shaving (not makeup). I hate leaning over the sink to get a close up shaving so this mirror is a good solution. You can hang it on a wall or in a closet so you don't have to bend down to see facial details. I used the command hook for hanging - it's available from Revain. Love the different light types to choose from and the dimmer function. In addition, you can rotate the mirror for landscape or portrait viewing. It is also powered by batteries or a USB cable. But the batteries seem to last a long time if you use alkaline or lithium. Do not use cheap batteries! IMPORTANT NOTE. If you turn this mirror off and then back on with the switch on the back, it will remember your light type and brightness. This is a great feature, meaning this mirror has memory. (Smart mirror - haha). So I turned it off one day and on the next day and it didn't work properly - didn't dim, couldn't change the light type - very strange. hmm what to do Realizing it has memory I decided to restart it! So I took the batteries out and put them back in. Bingo! The mirror is 100% back to normal. This is something to keep in mind when purchasing this mirror. This is not mentioned in the small instruction manual. You won't be disappointed if you buy it - it's a really nice lighted mirror.
