It takes extra effort to make it work well in a hot car, but it's possible.
This is a great mini fan, it's rechargeable so I just keep a portable charger in the car instead of moving the fan around. It's difficult to cool it down when the car is hot. Like a normal fan, it only circulates in the air. So if your air conditioning isn't working in your car you may have to drive with the windows down to get the heat out of the car and then you may get an advantage from that, but I don't mind, it's a lot cheaper than fix my air conditioner.
