Review on Converter DROK Voltage Regulator Waterproof by Vladimir Castillo

I bought this a few months ago and was able to integrate it into my power supply project that needs to power my Pi 3 with a 12v battery (powered by Deltan Battery Tender) . The description says the output is 5 volts at 3 amps; However, when connected to a Pi 3, the display shows poor performance (flashing on screen). The Pi 3 wall adapter is rated at 2.5 amps. The power supply provided by the Raspberry Pi is 2.5 amps, so I don't understand why this nominal 3 amp power supply is considered insufficient for the Pi 3. UPDATE: Upon further investigation, it appears that the wire size in the micro USB cable was the issue. I use. It is not designed for a load of 2.5 amps. However, I have no way of measuring the performance of the device.
