These high quality kraft bags with handles are stronger than others I have tried. I bought these for two purposes: to decorate gift bags (they are great for medium or small gifts) and to fit in our rectangular bin. For leftovers, I double over the bags, place some folded paper towels on the bottom, and then just fold the handles. I don't like throwing food waste in a bucket without a liner because it messes up the bucket. But I prefer to use paper bags than plastic bags. I've been using these Kraft food waste bags for a few weeks now and empty them every week. They hold up well thanks to the double layer and paper towels on the bottom. I dump my food into a large landscape bin, then toss the degradable bags in the trash can.
