I'm an introvert, so it's difficult for me to get my hair cut during normal hours. With the current Covid protocols this is almost impossible. I have two broken vertebrae and thick hair that the heaviness of my hair hurts my neck. As a result, I started cutting my own hair with old scissors. It was difficult and it turned out to be very uneven. After struggling with this for a while, I decided it was worth investing in some decent pair of hair scissors. Living on a steady income, I can't afford to spend a lot of money on expensive professional scissors. I researched articles about the best hair cutting scissors and then looked for the best rating in my price range. I chose them and they are great! They are SUPER sharp so be careful! They were so sharp I was a little afraid to use them, so I just trimmed my bangs at first. Couldn't believe how much easier they were to use or how much smoother the cut was. Today my sister cut my back because they are so sharp I was afraid to do it myself. (I have dexterity issues with a broken neck, so I didn't want to accidentally cut my finger!) It only took her a few minutes to pull it off, and it looked really good. I cut the bangs, crown and sides myself; much faster, easier and more direct. I really regret not investing in them many years ago! I took off a star for two reasons: there are no warnings about how devastatingly sharp they are, and I think some unwary people could injure themselves. Another problem was opening the box. We are both elderly and this box fits so snugly that it was terribly difficult for us to open it because there is no notch or anything to hold onto while separating the two halves of the box. So I've deducted half a star for each of these as the elderly or those with manual dexterity issues may struggle.
