Concerned about durability

Love how easy it is to fit a bike stem, it weighs next to nothing and has a very low profile. What I don't like is how the straps stretch when I attach the phone (they stretch so much that the material becomes very thin and lightens). I have an iPhone 11 Pro and that alone probably won't be a problem, but my phone is in a fairly flat case and the case seems to make the straps too flimsy so I'm concerned that the straps might break. . It's the middle of winter and my bike is on the treadmill so it's not a big deal yet, but I'm not sure I'd want to use this thing on the road because of the road vibrations and the scorching sun in my head have Summer will break the thongs (I ride a lot of endurance). I don't know too many people who have phones without protective cases, so I'm not sure why the straps are so tight. I also have a small phone compared to most, so you'd think that even with a case on, the straps would fit snugly without stretching. For now I'll leave judgment and see how the holder performs, but given the cost of my phone I'll probably use a different holder when I go outside.
