Bought 4 strings. I connected one strand directly and connected the other three together. When I turned them on, I had two strings lighter than the other two. Significant difference in brightness. The directly connected string was light and the string in the AVERAGE of the three strings connected together was light. I have now tried other power modules as there are two spare modules with three strings connected together. Exactly the same brightness values for all modules. Then I pulled out more extensions and connected all 4 strings directly - and then the brightness of all 4 was equal and bright. Here's an easy way to connect. They generally look great. You only need additional extension cords. I'm an electrical engineer so I would guess the problem isn't that I wired them up. :)
