I've now bought eight pairs of Thorlo Hiker Large/Men's 9-12.5 socks [various colours] from March 2011 to October 2012 so I'm comfortable to make comments because I wear a pair every day. As a senior living in the northern high desert of rural Nevada, I average over three miles of trails and sand every day in trail shoes or Keen or Salomon hiking boots and a Thorlo Thorlon Hiker. Socks [I wear high ankle socks] which provide excellent cushioning and very good moisture control. For my use, I no longer need summer or winter socks because they suit me in every season. Almost all Thorlo Hikers I've bought have had very little thread trimming on the inside of the sock, but this is my choice to avoid leaving any loose threads. They wear in heel and forefoot pressure areas, but not excessively, IMO, and none of the socks have worn or bled. I recommend buying a pair to try them out as there are many other sock options these days. *random as I am As I write this, my Fitbit web recording shows that I have walked a million steps since I started tracking on March 31, 2012, 1,035,177 steps to be precise from "Total steps for the whole life". And all that in my Thorlo Hiker socks!
