Review on 🎤 Canon 2591B002 DM-100 Directional Stereo Microphone - Black, Ideal for HF/HG Series Camcorders by Catherine Dierdorff

This is a first reaction, very little used so far. I'll try to update later after using it a little more. My testing shows it works as advertised, more or less as other reviews say. I also agree that the flex mount could very well be their Achilles heel. it looks fragile, like it could easily break. So I hope to be careful with it and try not to put too much effort into it. It's definitely a huge advantage to have a device that plugs in through the camera's shoe, doesn't need its own batteries, doesn't require a connecting cable, and doesn't need to be turned on. (All you have to do is select the grip angle you want.) And I agree with another reviewer who complained about the lack of a protective case. For now I keep it in a thick sock which hopefully will give it some protection.
