Review on LM YN Constant Current Step Up by Dean Gomatham
No CC, bad soldering, bad quality, ineffective, not good 250W
Not worth the money when I got it, all the soldering was grainy. Once powered up and connected it seemed to work fine with CV, however CC didn't work and this is critical to my LED driver use case. The wires were thin at both the inductor and the leads. I really doubt it can handle 250W as I have a 150W boost converter here and the coil wire is 3 times thicker. Judging by the thermal output at only a 20W load (12V input, 40V output) I really doubt claims of over 90% efficiency have any merit as the unit appeared to be putting out over 2W of heat.
