Review on πŸ”Œ Wireless BTD 500 USB Dongle for Enhanced Connectivity by Devin Maselli

Revainrating 4 out of 5

First useful Bluetooth dongle

After trying two "low power" Bluetooth 4.0 USB adapters, I was fed up with random disconnects, lack of apt-x support, and literally a maximum range of 2.5 to 3 m. With the exception of the MDR-1RBT headphones, I used one of what appeared to be three apt-x licensed USB adapters (BTD 500). After two days, I had exceptional range with no noticeable audio lag. The plug and play support for apt-x was just as great. The only reason I'm giving it one star is that all the volume/headset options don't seem to be available on the computer, be it due to my desktop or some other reason I suppose to give a fair warning . As long as you know what you need it for, it's the best out there, bar none. (9.0/10 seems more reasonable.) Chris.* After some testing I may be able to figure out why some of you are having range issues. Switching the adapter from the rear USB port on my desktop to the top port had a significant impact on the transmission range. I don't know if this is related to the horizontal or vertical position of the adapter, but I hope this helps anyone who is having connection issues.
