I bruised my big toe so badly that it hurt to walk for several days. I ordered them immediately and was satisfied the first time I put them on. This allowed me to continue walking training for very long walks. The protective gel adds cushioning and covers my entire big toe, relieving any pressure in my socks and shoes - I wear double layers of socks. I live where it's hot, so I sweat when I walk. I also noticed that my toes were sweating and when I took off my shoes the sock sleeve came off my toe. I'm not sure if it happened while walking or when I took my shoes off. If I find out it's the first I'll amend this review. At the moment I am very happy that I am walking without pain. Correction: They slip off sweaty toes. There were no problems with dry fingers.
