I like having an extra long 10ft cable. I use my iPad Pro in bed a lot and unfortunately there aren't any convenient outlets in my bedroom so I have to use a very long cord and this one is perfect. I haven't had any problems with it so far and don't expect any as Anker products seem to be very reliable and trustworthy. You might be able to save a few bucks and save by opting for something unfamiliar. is a brand, but experience has taught me time and time again that it's not worth the risk and rather than treading the path of insanity by keeping trying and expecting different results, I'd rather spend a few bucks and do it no worries
