First, there are some good videos on YouTube showing each step of the drain hose replacement process. I was able to do every step myself except for the part where you actually pull the front panel and door out of the washing machine. It stuck, so the second pair of eyes helped. There is a wire holding a rubber grommet on the front. There is a compression spring on the underside. If you have the right tool, you can do it yourself. Otherwise it will be difficult to do it yourself. Maybe others know how to do this without damaging the rubber bushing, but I don't. The hose I received looked exactly like the original hose it replaced, so I'm pretty sure it's an OEM product made by LG. After I installed it, my wife ran a hot water circuit without clothes to make sure there was no water leakage. Much luck. Forward, fleet! Sincerely, Big Jim from Texas.
