For the motion detector to work, it must be in a dark place. Works great, nice and bright.
We built it in a closet. We wanted a motion sensor controlled light to turn on automatically when we open the closet doors. That's exactly what he does. It didn't seem like it would work at first, but it's just that the room/closet needs to be dark enough for the motion sensor to work. It didn't work if it wasn't dark enough. We found that we have to place the detector between the connector and the first light, it doesn't work if we place it in the middle. After moving, all the lights work perfectly when we open the doors. It should not be dark outside the room or closet, only where the sensor is located.
