In my opinion these fans strike a good balance between performance and noise levels. The airflow from the standard fans in my tower cases always felt weak and overheated, so I replaced them. I got the results I wanted. With these Bgears fans, the airflow is significantly higher with slightly lower outlet temperatures. Computer noise doesn't bother me, so it's not as important as it is for some. As long as the car doesn't interfere with the conversation noise, I don't care how loud the ventilation system is! The new fans are bringing out a level of sound and character that should bother anyone. My old ears hear a moderate "howl" from them, as well as a rush(!) of extra airflow, but I can take it. The howling part is muffled by intake filters, which helps in front of the computer. Some of these reviews give the impression that you'd better pin the kids down for fear fans might take them away, but that's just not true. Glue works better. They offer good airflow increase and good pressure capacity to blow objects like RAID racks and through filters at a very reasonable price. They generally won't blow a lot of dust out of or through your PC. You still need to clean it regularly with compressed air. However, fans are a good step forward for those who want more airflow. Keep in mind that fan placement is just as important, if not more so, than the devices themselves in effectively cooling sensitive PC components.
