I recently bought a New Balance 790 V6 or NB 790 running shoe for my toddler who loves to play, run and jump. The blue and gold colorway caught my eye and the promise of comfort and durability made me choose this shoe. Overall I am happy with my purchase and my child seems to enjoy wearing it regularly. The NB 790 offers plenty of cushioning and support with an injection molded EVA midsole. This foam technology provides underfoot cushioning that absorbs shock and reduces fatigue. My child's feet seem to have enough room to move and the design of the shoe allows for good ventilation, which is very important for active kids. The upper is made of breathable mesh material that wicks away moisture and keeps feet dry and fresh. Another feature I love about the NB 790 is the rubber outsole. The outsole grips well on a variety of surfaces and provides good traction for quick turns and sudden stops. My kid's shoes have been tested on concrete, grass and even a few puddles and they've held up remarkably well. The durability of the shoe is also noticeable as it shows minimal signs of wear. The only downside is that the size may not be accurate for some children. I had to go half a size up for my child to fit perfectly. The shoe design may not appeal to every child either, but that's a small problem. The New Balance 790 V6 running shoes are therefore a reliable option for kids who travel a lot. It's affordable, supportive, and comfortable, making it a great value. With a few tweaks, this shoe could have been a solid 5/5. I would recommend it to parents looking for a cushioned and durable casual shoe for their kids.
