This product worked perfectly in my Lenovo X1 Carbon (Gen1 Type 34xx). It's very difficult to get a new SSD for this old model of amazing laptop. I've been looking for a good solution for a long time. No need to buy original SSD from pirates they sell for +$500. This SSD or 256GB model will do. I connected this SSD to an adapter ("m2-ngff-ssd-to-26-pin-adapter-for-lenovo-x1-carbon-ultrabook-m2-len-26px1" on g00gl ). It fits perfectly into the SSD slot with the existing screw. It was very tight when I closed the top (keyboard cover) but closed and screwed properly. No dents or bad looks. When booting, the X1 Carbon immediately recognized the SSD drive. I can't remember if I had to hit the tiny "reset" button at the bottom. I immediately booted the OS from the USB stick (both Linux and Win10) with no problems. I haven't tested this or used it extensively. I can't comment on the download errors that some people have complained about. I am very satisfied with this product and this solution. Good luck to X1 users!
