UPDATE: Well, literally three months after purchasing this drill, she died. I mean dead as bread. Nothing. Nada. I called customer service and they were very accommodating and sent a new drill so I didn't downgrade it to a star. But do you stop working after three months of intermittent work? I'm a cozy homeowner, not a builder. Obviously the quality has dropped considering my old Skil was over fifteen years old. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've had the same Skil rechargeable drill for almost fifteen years. He went through hardship and hardship, construction work, endless projects and many unannounced high jumps. I only had to replace the original nickel-cadmium batteries once. It eventually expired in the form of a cracked case, so there was no question as to which brand I would buy to replace my trusty workhorse. The new one is amazingly small and light, with incredible battery life and incredible performance (no pun intended). This is a dream exercise. I cried a little inside when I threw away the old drill, but this new one is like a spaceship.
