Eyelashes are magnetic, but applying eyeliner is called glue. You must apply while the glue is still tacky, which means you are actually sticking the lashes on. I have another set of more expensive eyelashes and the eyeliner needs to dry before applying. Another problem is that they tell you to crop the size. If these were true magnetic eyelashes then when cutting at the base the magnets would not be continuous, they would be spaced apart. So if you have real magnetic eyeliner, the non-magnetic part of the base won't stick. You must have magnets at the ends of each lash. Although these lashes have some magnetic property, they basically glue the lashes together, which wasn't what I wanted. They were cheap so I didn't spend a lot of money but I think you get what you pay for. .
