Review on πŸ•―οΈ YUNLIGHTS Flameless Taper Candles - 6 Pack Battery Operated Christmas Window Candle Lights with Remote Control and Timer, Warm White - Ideal for Seasonal & Festival Celebration by Wendy Mellgren

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Candles are pretty good when they work.

I really wanted to love these candles. I like that there are 12 instead of 10, that they have a timer function, a remote control and coasters and suction cups to attach to the window. You can turn them on and off with the button on the bottom of the candle as well as with the remote control, but you can only adjust the sound with the remote control. But there are multiple timer options (from 2 hours on/22 hours off to 8 hours on/16 hours off) which is great! You have the choice: permanent light or flickering candle effect. The candles look nice on the outside and I liked that I could set the timer once and then forget and let them burn in the evening and then turn them off the rest of the time. Two minor things I might have: Taking off a star (if not for other issues) because the coasters are surprisingly thin plastic and the flickering effect (at least with the curtains behind the candles) seemed too "strobe-like" to me - although mine Husband said it was normal so guess it was just my opinion. I tried dimming the plugs from the remote, thinking that might reduce flash, but didn't see any noticeable difference in brightness. However, only 11 of my 12 candles worked out of the box. Exchanged via Revain, replaced one candle from a new box, sent the rest back. For a week and a half everything was fine. This morning I went outside at 5:30am and saw that one of the candles was still burning. For 10 days, they all turned on at 4:30 p.m. and off at 10:30 p.m. The rest of the candles were off this morning (as they should be), so I'm guessing that the timer function on that particular candle has failed. Again in just 10 days. None of these issues were a huge issue, but in general, getting a couple of plugs to turn on and off when they should seems like a lot of hassle.
