Works very well and meets expectations. Get ready for some messy fingers, faces and, ok baby :). Obviously it's okay if your child chews and sucks on them for nutritious juices and all that comes with it gets a little messy, it's all part of the fun and learning. My daughter loves it and so far has fun eating the chopped snack and gets to work with it instead of pureeing for her in the baby pool. Several customers have complained that they are difficult to clean. We've had no trouble cleaning them as long as we clean them soon after the kid is done. I guess it also depends on what you have in there? We've used everything from mangoes to apples, as well as fibrous and fleshy fruits, and haven't had any issues. I'll update the review if we see more accumulation or purge issues.
