Large waist size 28.3-46.5 inches is correct but at 38 inches my waist is a bit squeezed by the elastic so I wouldn't dare to buy a big one, if your waist it is wider than mine. My hips measure 42 inches and I have no problem fitting there! Anyway, the baggy shorts really help hide my tummy! I usually wear a size 14 high waist jeans. Please remember when looking at the different shorts options from this seller that each pair of shorts has a different size chart! So you can be L in one pair but XL in another! (I almost bought the shorts in a size that didn't fit me at all!) I love the fresh feel and look of these shorts and look forward to wearing them with a variety of tops! A black t-shirt with navy blue shorts isn't the look I want lol!
