Review on Wolo (840) Turbo Compressor & Extended Tank System by Carlos Abood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's a compressor! It's a tank! It works! (UPDATE)

This is exactly what is described. Despite what some people say, this only includes the tank and compressor along with the cable. 10 foot 1/4" high pressure line and hose reel for inflating tires or anything with a schrader valve. It does NOT come with horns or solenoid. You can get these additional items. If you don't take 3 minutes to find out exactly what this one is Kit does and doesn't then it's up to you If you plan on installing it in your trunk and want to put horns on the front of your car that are over 8ft long you will need one of these or something compatible: Firestone 9008 1/ 4"D x 30' L Tube Air Line Red If you don't have a solenoid valve you will need this or a similar one: Wolo 804EV Electric Solenoid Valve Some of these will also come in handy: SMC KQ2H Push-in tube fitting, adapter, brass body, tube OD x NPT, Sealant Legris 3106" Nylon Push-In Fitting In-Line Connection Tube OD Inch It would be nice if there was more than one drain connection as you might have to change it depending on where you install the tank have to remove ice to empty it. UPDATE: We had an uncomfortably cold weather. stock this winter. Temperature below 4° (F). The compressor never failed. There are no leaks and everything is fine. UPDATE again (6/25/2014): Still works fine. No leaks. I would like to point out that I am using this horn: Kleinn Train Horns 99 Chrome plated zinc alloy dual air horn which comes with its own solenoid valve and works VERY well. UPDATE again, again, (7/28/2015) The car it is installed in rarely drives. The tank doesn't leak at all and holds air for weeks if not months. The compressor kicks in when needed and is connected to the fuel pump wiring via a relay so it only gets power when the car is running. ZERO works perfectly. Upgrade to 5 stars.
