I bought this because I originally used the stem mount that came with the screw on my old road bike and I couldn't see the computer while riding. I used the original Bolt bar mount on my new road bike. I transferred the original stem mount to my mountain bike. I have 25.4mm handlebars on my old road bike. The mount did not fit my handlebars with the 25.4mm bit that came with the mount. The screw has not engaged. It wasn't even close. I removed the thin piece of glued rubber that was attached to the inside diameter of the bracket. I was then able to use the 25.4mm insert and install the mount. The instructions didn't mention this, but it's what I had to do. The bracket must serve its purpose.
