Review on ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Secure Your Paddle with the Seattle Sports Sportsman's Paddle Leash - A Must-Have for Outdoor Enthusiasts by Joshua Garris

Fell out after first use. Do it yourself and save a few euros.

Don't waste your money, you can make your own with better materials and probably for less money. I bought it in 2013 and used it for the first time yesterday (07/08/16) when I went kayaking with my wife for the first time. I am an experienced kayaker/paddler and have been kayaking for over 4 years. I bought this item because I thought it would be a good idea to keep my paddle safe if I ended up buying a better quality paddle than the one I used. I've since gotten a better paddle but forgot I even had that leash before yesterday's ride. My wife and I paddled 8 miles downstream and this oar popped out about a half mile down the trail (photos attached). I kept the paddle rig and lead clip and simply replaced the poor quality nylon insulated elastic with 550 paracord line as it is now. I think most outdoorsy guys who own a kayak probably have the materials at home to build one of their own, so don't buy one.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Fits
