I had the opportunity to use this cheese board during the Christmas holidays. The tools provided were of good quality. They looked heavily built and cut cheese and sausage with ease. The removable slate piece is aesthetically pleasing and can be easily removed for cleaning, which is a really nice touch. I deducted a star for the built-in slicer. I had high hopes for this, but due to its length, the blade stretches like a bowstring when cut. We make uneven cuts. This happens with both hard and soft cheeses. I think it would be better if it was a bit smaller and also made of thin wire instead of a vertical flat metal "blade". Overall, this is a pretty good cheeseboard. This would be great for small parties or when only a few people get together. EDIT: Upgrade to 5 stars! I contacted the retailer with my little issues and they are working hard to improve this already excellent design!
