Don't skimp and don't buy a fake. I own a bar and have been dismayed at the number of bottles we have broken opening in the last four years. It didn't happen every day, but I've had two bartenders in a row who broke down. Here it is. I suspected it was the opener in the first place and not our bartender. The problem is that bottles with screw caps have a thinner glass top than bottles with regular caps. The wall opener on our coolers is a versatile guy that captures quite aggressively. If you push the bottle in too far it will grab more than the cap and break. I wasn't cheap, the previous owner was and bought a junk can opener. Sure, they work, but using them is a bit trickier. Either they don't catch on the first try, or they grab too much. Type Rigid "X". I first asked customers (a great feature of Revain) if they had any issues with this bottle opener breaking bottles on opening. No one. In fact, I probably confused these people because the Starr X works so well it probably never will. I ordered one just to see if there was a difference. It's day and night. So far the Starr X is working great. Problem solved. If you are thinking of buying an opener I would highly recommend this brand. Stainless steel is also good for a few bucks. I'm also buying for another cooler.
