This was bought for a child's room where forced gas heating keeps the air terribly dry. It's been working great since the first connection. Unless your tap water is hard water or well water, do not use distilled or purified water. I tested 3 types of water and my tap water runs the humidifier mist smoothly with no clogging. While tests with purified and distilled water consistently caused bubbling and clogging. This humidifier is very quiet. Kids use it every night, all night long. This is the best small humidifier in this price range that I have ever used. Will definitely order one for my room next time.
