These guys are great! I use Cat6 gauge 23 solid wire. Very easy to use and so handy when you can slip the wires over your head and trim off the excess. Now, for everyone who says you end up with an extra wire that you can't cut, all you have to do is pull your head back a little after you cut the wire so nothing protrudes. . Basically, I push the wires through the head as far as I can, cut as close as I can, and then pull the head back (in the opposite direction) to vacuum the extra 1/16th of the wire flush with the head. Then pinch your head and you're done!
