XL-ChalkGreat jacket for windy and cold weather. This coat is warm and lightweight. I usually wear large Columbia jackets that sit on my hips. I'm 5ft 5in and 168lbs (pear shaped). Since this jacket falls below my hips above mid-thigh, I went for XL. Lots of room at the hips and even a few layers, this coat fits perfectly. The pockets are deep, the hood doesn't have a draft but it fits snugly and protects my ears from the wind. the lining is soft and fluffy. the zipper on the coat goes high on the neck, so you don't need a scarf. I washed the coat when it arrived and hung it out to dry. good investment
