I bought one of these double bottle coolers on purpose because it was brass colored or plated. It was intended to be placed in a bar that has a lot of brass hardware and accents so it was important to me that it was in a matching brass finish. However, the color of the brass of this item is very different from the color of real brass and differs significantly from the product image. In fact, it looks very faded and only slightly coppery. This item should make a great double bottle cooler so despite the disappointing color I decided to keep it. But I'll end up putting it in a very non-obvious place. So if you're like me and you care about the actual color, you should probably consider other product options.
