I just received this bag (on time and well packaged may I add) and I already love it. I chose this bag partly because of all the positive reviews about its quality and beauty. A few complaints I read were that the bag had a "fishy" smell when opened, that it sagged rather than upright, it was heavy, the adjustable strap was difficult to adjust, and the handles were too small to carry were. your shoulder My experience so far is that the bag does NOT smell bad when opened, and although the handles are SMALL, it comes with an adjustable strap that can be adjusted for shoulder wear, I've had NO issues adjusting the strap either. In terms of weight, given the size of the bag along with all the metal hardware, I'd say the bag is pretty light (but maybe I'm used to carrying heavy bags). If there is room for improvement, what I see (which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) is crooked. Of course you can look at it from two sides. If you carry this primarily with small hands, slouching around can be a real problem. However, if you're the kind of person who prefers to carry a bag on your shoulder or with a low-hanging bag across your chest, a hard-shell bag is too bulky to carry around. In general, I think a little more hardness makes sense, simply because it reduces wear caused by wrinkling. I hope this bag will last for many years, it's really one of a kind.
