Worth the price. My cat can easily get in and out. Used it without thinking. He's a big boy at 30lbs and has no problem using his new box (he's a life saver, came to me overweight don't judge me harshly), the big bonus is my dog doesn't like cat buns can give more. I didn't bother with the box insert. I've never been a fan of them. My cat may be deformed, but he doesn't like doing his business in the dark, so I've always used a small motion-activated light in his closed boxes. This box is significantly darker inside than the others. So if you have a deformed cat like mine, the light will fix it. Thanks to the shape of this box, it becomes mandatory for the use of excavation filler. If you're not a scooper then I probably wouldn't recommend this box as it would be impractical to deal with dirty junk and try to throw it out only to see a nasty mess.
