They work well and have many settings. flashing, long lasting etc etc. I just laid part of the solar panel on the ground and propped it up with a rock so that it faces the sun. They appear at dusk and turn off around midnight, which suits me very well. They work on cloudy days too, but not on a day when the solar panels are covered in snow when you forget to clean them, which makes sense! 72 feet isn't as far as it looks when you wrap it around a bush, so keep that in mind. One strand was perfect for a bush about a meter tall and round.
