Review on πŸ”₯ Full Watt INNOMAX Thermal Guardian Touch Temp Solid State Hardside Waterbed Heater by Dionne Reyes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Temperature controller - rubbish!

I am retired and have had waterbeds my entire adult life. I have two more and I still love them. Almost everything was Innomax. I used to buy from waterbed stores but have recently bought from Revain. The heaters are my biggest and almost only complaint, and it's always the controller that fails, not the panel. I even tried going back to the old dial style but it didn't work! I bought the last three here at Revain. A 10/27/11 and it lasted 6 years. The next one is December 31, 2017, and that lasted 2 years. The next was 11/19/19 and lasted (drum roll!) less than 4 months! And I only have one queen, just keep it at 77 degrees and turn it off all summer, I contacted Innomax almost two weeks ago, and there isn't even an answer! Update 4/30/20: Between phone, text and chat and being routed from one to the other, I was finally able to speak to someone who helped me. They didn't force me to return the old controller, but they did charge a $19.95 "handling fee." But I asked if I could double the $19.95 and get two spares and they agreed and it was great! The new controller has been working fine for about three weeks now, but I have to turn it down about 4-5 degrees to get the desired temperature. Let's see how this one holds up. The good news is that if your heater (non-American made) fails, you don't have to dump the bed, as for me it's always the controller that fails, not the panel.

Pros
  • Easy to set up and easy to read digital LED temperature controller with on/off switch accurate to 1/8 degree of set point
Cons
  • Nothing
