We've had a more powerful version of the Screwpull for many years and it's been the best ever - easy to use, never broke any corks, worked flawlessly. After all, it broke a few weeks ago and couldn't be fixed. This new, less bulky version came when I ordered what I thought was a replacement. As other reviewers have pointed out, this is not the same corkscrew as the original professional Screwpull. I'm now considering whether to go with another brand. This is normal, but the cork must be wiggled and squeezed to pull it out when the original corkscrew would have pulled it cleanly and without hesitation.
