Wow. Very impressed after first use. I also have a Milwaukee 2704 brushless hammer drill and it's like night and day. Hanging from a rope and drilling into hard limestone, it took me over 5 minutes with frequent stops to drill a 1/2" x 6" hole with the 2704. Using the 2712 ROTARY Hammer, the same hole took less than a minute. (same limestone, same hanging from a rope, each with new drill bits). And after seven holes, 2704 was made with a 3.0 amp battery. The same battery made over 20 holes with the 2712. It's great that the M18 Fuel drills can use the same batteries. The high power of the perforator is clearly superior to the standard perforator. The 2712 is heavier (about 3.5 pounds), but I like the 2712's side grip better. It rotates 360 degrees so you can position it anywhere you like. Model 2704 can be mounted either left or right.
