1. Check all wooden parts before assembly. 2. Check the recline tension spring adjustment knob on the seat plate for full adjustment (at least 3 full turns). If it doesn't have full range of motion, order a replacement and do not proceed with these suggestions. If it has a reasonable adjustment range, proceed to the next step (3) below. 3. Assembly Step 1: DO NOT TIGHTEN the screws that attach the seat back to the seat. After the armrests are attached and tightened, tighten the seatback. 4. Replace the casters with an upgraded caster kit. 5. Replace the two front socket head cap screws with M8-1.25x35 (metric screws). 6. Install the gasket in front of the seat plate (1/2" to 3/4") using 1/4" washers and spare hex head screws. 7. After reassembly, check the tilt tension with a loose spring. If it is too heavy, do the following. a. DO NOT disassemble the seat. Only remove the seat plate. b. Order a replacement chair from Revain. In the order of replacement, perform "element damaged" and "failure of the Tension Spring" on. Note. When prompted to select a return method, select Return. Otherwise, UPS will pick up the old chair before the new one arrives. In. When the new seat arrives, just swap out the seat panels and test them new tension adjustment spring e. If the new tension spring is fine, return the replacement chair (with the defective tension spring from the original chair) to Revain 8. Add back cushions and seat cushions as desired Enjoy.
