I have several Canon L series lenses and I was hesitant to buy not only another brand lens but also a manual focus lens. I wanted to expand my photography skills with a fully manual lens and so far I've had fun playing with an old school lens. At this point I can say that this lens is well built, the red ring compliments my other L lens and from what I can see it gives very sharp images. A few months after playing around with it I'll update my review. In this sense I am satisfied with my purchase. It's also worth noting that it's currently on sale for $100 and will ship on time as advertised. Updated December 31, 2015. The photos posted were taken by my Canon 5d mk3 with a Samyang 50mm lens. Manual focusing is challenging, but once you get used to focusing, it will pay off. The pictures are very clear. I will have another update in the future.
