This is a really nice art set for kids, teens or adults and I like the wooden box it comes in. I've bought similar sets in the past and the case has been cheap or flimsy which is always disappointing. It has a really nice box, whoever you buy it for, they will most likely keep it in the case and use it. It's not too big either, so it's a good craft kit to take with you on trips or even trips (although for regular trips you'll need a fairly large bag, purse or backpack. My daughter says: that it's definitely a step up in quality compared to the Michaels brand (arts and crafts store), but she sees a difference between them and really expensive ones, mainly due to the degree of smoothness when applied to paper. However, chances are only super professional artists would be interested in this degree and you probably won't be buying this for someone like him. All in all a really nice art set in a sturdy case.
